Essay planning notes

Essay idea: Small everyday experiments can help students learn how scientific inquiry works. Example: moving a stone in a puddle changes the path of a floating leaf. Main points: notice a pattern, change one variable, observe the result, and compare it with the original situation. Counterargument to consider: informal observations need careful testing before broad conclusions. I have not added research sources yet.

The complete walkthrough

  1. Select Essay planner

Choose Essay planner in the writing workspace and load the example notes. The captured result keeps the notes alongside the outline.

  2. Bring your ideas and evidence

Review the sample notes and distinguish an idea, an observation and a source you have actually read.

  3. Generate the plan

Choose Create essay outline. Inspect the working thesis, proposed sections, counterargument prompts and self-checks.

  4. Write from the plan

Develop the argument yourself and add checked sources where needed. The tool provides an outline rather than a finished essay.
